Katherine S. Zelazny
KATHERINE S. ZELAZNY is an estate planning and business attorney whose practice areas include gift and estate tax planning, trust administration, probate, federal and state taxation, and sophisticated real estate and business transactions. Ms. Zelazny specializes in both basic and complex estate planning, including the preparation of wills, powers of attorney, revocable and irrevocable trusts, charitable and non-charitable gifting strategies and business succession planning. She advises clients with respect to a broad spectrum of probate and trust administration proceedings and issues, as well as real estate transactions and the formation, operation and reorganization of business entities. Ms. Zelazny represents a wide range of clients, from small family business owners to high net worth individuals.
Ms. Zelazny graduated from Duke University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts. In 1993, she earned her Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law. She then attended New York University and was awarded a Graduate Law Degree in Taxation (LL.M.) in 1994.
Ms. Zelazny was admitted to both the California State Bar and the Wyoming State Bar in 1994. From 1994 to 2001, she practiced law with the firm of Mullikin, Larson & Swift LLC, in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Ms. Zelazny became a member (partner) of Mullikin, Larson & Swift LLC in 1998. In 2002, Ms. Zelazny joined the St. Helena office of Gagen, McCoy, McMahon, Koss, Markowitz & Raines. Ms. Zelazny was a shareholder at Gagen, McCoy, McMahon, Koss, Markowitz & Raines until 2009 when she joined Block, DeVincenzi & Zelazny LLP.
Ms. Zelazny lives with her husband and two children in St. Helena.
